SWARNALATA, INSANE?

p.18: In 1907, Barin rented Sil's (or Seal's) Lodge from its owner Devendra Nath Sil, the full address given on p.16 : "Raidhi, P.O. Rohini, via Baidyanath, Deoghar". This was Barin's first bomb factory (pp.16-17) 

p20: The police was informed that  "machinery used by the conspirators at Sil's Lodge, might be found at Raidih, buried under the ground" (§24). 

p20 : On 15 February 1908, the compound of the house at Raidih, "in which Arabinda's (§22) mother [Swarnalata]  had lived, was dug up (...) A vice, portion of a drilling machine, a wrench, 4 drills, and bolts and nuts were recovered, buried deep in the ground. Saran Lata [Swarnalata]  used to rush out with a sword whenever anyone approached the Raidih house."(§25).

It was obvious that Swarnalata made full use of her so called "insanity", judging from the way she instructed her servants to bury such articles, as revealed by this Report.

What other quotas would you like the SAAT to reserve for its trustees? STs? SCs? OBCs? North Indians? South Indians? Reddys? Ranades? Pandeys? Mohapatras????

If we go about it this way, the SAAT will have 2000 trustees and 5 non-trustees (the existing ones!). It is surprising that all these brilliant "devotees" come up with the most brilliant suggestions that even the Mother in Her eternal wisdom didn't think about. And talking about an Odia Trustee for the SAAT, it is absolutely not true that an Oriya cannot become a Trustee. In fact, Manoj Das, an eminent Odia, was a Trustee of the Ashram. Indian Academics Object to Treatment of American Historian April 3, 2012, 11:05 am The Global Ticker - The Chronicle of Higher Education

A group of Indian historians is objecting to the treatment of the American scholar Peter Heehs, who is under growing pressure from Hindu conservatives to leave the country,reports the Hindustan Times. Mr. Heehs has written extensively on modern Indian history and religion, but some Hindu fundamentalists have objected to his book about Sri Aurobindo, a freedom fighter and spiritual leader who died in 1950. They say the book, which was published by Columbia University Press in 2008, misrepresents the historical figure’s relationship with a female collaborator.

Court filings have prevented the book’s distribution in India, and now reportedly Mr. Heehs may have his visa revoked. Indian academics sent a letter last month to the prime minister and home minister to raise concerns about the situation. A similar controversy erupted last year, when the The Collected Essays of A.K.
